So This Just Happened: Umbrella, Ancient Village, Assassins Creed
-
This was my morning adventure.... I'm in the kitchen working at the table. @dominica is just on the terraza. Suddenly I hear her yelling for me, something about the umbrella that goes on the table up there. So I go running up. I know that there are wind concerns with the umbrella and it is pretty windy today.
Turns out that Dominica opened the umbrella in the wind and left it up there and it blew away. She started calling for me before she knew what had happened, she only knew that it was missing. But before I got up there (this is three floors above the street, by the way) she has spotted it over caught in cables on a neighbour's roof! It is clinging precariously about to blow away again as soon as it pulls itself loose. Not good (especially as we rent and this is not our patio umbrella blowing away.)
So I quickly climb up to the neighbour's roof - remember this is a village that is over a thousand years old and these buildings go back many, many hundreds of years. So this feels and looks a lot like an old, out of shape guy attempting a lame Assassin's Creed style building scaling thing. I had to climb up on the roof right on the edge and their roof is above ours a bit, so I am three and a half stories above the stone plaza below now, right on the edge of the roof.
I managed to get the umbrella, close it, get it back down to our roof and return. Sounds more impressive than it was, but it made for an interesting morning.

I was going to ask why @scottalanmiller didn't have his GoPro strapped to his head.

No time, I should have!

If only @Dominica had a Windows Phone running Lumia Denim (like the Lumia 1520 or 930) she could have done a one-touch 4K recording of the whole event.

Yes but she'd be stuck with a Windows phone...

I actually liked the simplicity of the windows phone when I had one. I didn't like the fact I couldn't use more than 5 or 8 tabs(not sure which it was) in IE. Nor that you can't use normal VPNs. Only IKEv2 which no one uses.
