First Look at Office 2016 for Mac

First Look at Microsoft's Office 2016 for Mac. Finally closing the gap with PC versions.
-
It was predicted that the two versions would get closer since 2013 moved from the Windows native codebase to relying heavily on JavaScript under the hood. That means that it is running, more or less, like a locally hosted web application (pioneered in the office space by LibreOffice, MS Office is playing catchup here) which made it much easier to bring the versions closer together.
It also made 2013 feel like a step backwards compared to 2010 because it kind of was. But a step back to allow them to focus and move the whole franchise forward. I think that it was a brilliant move and will pay off in the long run.

I installed 2016 on my mac and outlook crashes every time I try to open it. Not off to a great start.
-
@lance Outlook (and Entourage before) seems like the one part of office for mac that I've always had issues with. Not nearly as bad with Outlook as it was with Entourage so at least it's getting better.
-
Outlook is the only thing I have tried so far and it keeps crashing.
