I was on an Air Canada flight that the "tug truck" slammed into when trying to hitch up to the front landing gear. I was quite displeased and yet glad it didn't collapse it and have the nose slam into the tarmac!
End of the day human error can happen on any carrier though.

I was on a Frontier flight about 10 years ago where the pilot drug the tail during take off. We had to circle the airport for about 20 mins while other planes looked at tail to see if there was any damage. It was declared there was none and we continued to Denver.

this is not a reason to not like southwest. It was either pilot or ground crew error. This happens more than gets reported and happens with all different airlines. The same can be said about united and this story: http://nypost.com/2014/12/29/passengers-complain-after-dog-left-on-rainy-tarmac/

I only flew twice in my life. Small 707? from DC to NY in 83 where we caught a plane to Jordan with a stop off in Germany for fuel. They let us get out on the tarmac...I did so I could say I was in Germany. The inflight movie was Tootsie, and for an 18 year old I thought the food was horrible, wiener schnitzel, i belive.

And in addition to several cross country flights, I've driven from NY to Texas. About to drive back and then drive NY to San Fran!! Then San Fran to Houston.

Why all that driving? Are you transporting something other than people?

Going out west for a month, at least. Need a car and am taking four people plus everything that we need for a month there and then for another month in Houston. That's a lot of stuff and people and rental cars to deal with. Two months of living having flown places is tough. Want to avoid that if at all possible. Much cheaper and easier to drive it and have our own car for two months and a lot more stuff with us.

Whomever wants you in those places for that amount of time (assuming it's not personal choice) should be paying you well enough to not worry about rental fees, etc...

Well I live in Houston, would suck to rent a car here for where I live.
