Electronic Christmas Cards from Vendors
-
Hate 'em. Either send me a proper card that is hand-signed or don't bother.

I feel the same way, but I go even a step further to say I don't want a card from a vendor peroid. Its just their way of reminding you of their company. They send out hundreds of cards so they really don't mean anything to me
-
Alcohol is always gratefully received.
Chocolates less so, our office is swimming in chocolate at Christmas and I lack self control.
-
The other day I received a generic off-the-shelf "holiday" card from a telecom sales rep with nothing in it other than his business card. No signature or anything, and it's not even like it was a custom printed card for their company. It was so impersonal (and such a change from his buddy-buddy attitude in person, which now really makes him look like a phony) that I feel like crossing him off our list for an upcoming bid.
-
Agreed. We send out real cards.
-
Yeah, I've seen on FB that many people are posting electronic cards this year (mainly artists). Yeah electronic cards - a no go.
What do you guys think about e-invites?
-
I like evites - convenient and easy to look up on your phone.

I received a card the other day from a certain vendor. Instead of the old school ones I used to receive hand written and with schwarmy copy I got a sales pitch for a conference.

Well the Austin SpiceWorld numbers were well under plan, so I think they're really pulling out all the stops to try and get more attendance.
-
Considering the rumors of a different website perhaps having it's own gathering of users and vendors, SpiceWorld might see a shortage again?
-
Nic, where's my Christmas card?
-
@Rob-Dunn did you join our community and the ambassador program?
-
@Nic I thought that's what the Christmas card was going to ask me to do?
Shooooot.
