https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4493472/windows-7-update-kb4493472Both react negatively when running Sophos. You're not able to login.
They effect all currently supported versions of Windows, not just Window 7 and 8 like the links would lead you to believe.
No prizes for guessing which anti-virus dashboard we use.
I have read other sites/posts that stated they did not have Sophos installed. Just wondering if I should follow suit and decline the update.

Those two specific ones, you might want to wait until they release a fix for the fix.

That is currently the plan. Hopefully a fix comes soon.

We have various customers with Sophos Central and I have not seen the reported issue but will find out soon enough....
-
This is the only known issue with this update. Seems like you wouldn't want this to happen either lol

We are using using Sophos and haven't seen any issues yet. I wonder if its the threat protection or application control policy settings that is affecting the updates.
-
Running Sophos Central Endpoint here. Have had zero issues on Windows 7 machines after installing 4493472 last night. I have about 35 Windows 7 machines in my domain.

Just what's been posted here already. Nothing about a fix yet.
Our office was swamped from dealing with this today.
-
All the customers using Sophos from us are using Central so no affected here.

Looks like it isn't just Sophos.
