Why Do Recruiters Never Get Involved in Forums Like This

This is spot on Scott. This is an absolute awesome forum that I'm just now finding out about- I'm actually a Direct Hire Recruiter looking for a full-stack .Net Core Developer should anyone on here be interested.
Additionally, I'm always looking to add people to my network and help them when I can (I try not to be the scumbag stereotype of my industry). If anyone on here wants to have a candid, honest conversation about job opportunities or to just talk shop, please let me know.

@scottalanmiller Why? Because we don't know that these exist. This is the first (of many I'm sure) that I have ever heard of. There's forums all over the place but many specifically ask that we stay out of them and probably because of the types of recruiters you mentioned who are adding "...to the quagmire of IT hiring...".
It sucks that there are poor recruiters out there giving us a bad name but that's the nature of the beast. Some take this as a job and think it's an easy matching game and therefore, perform their job as such. Then there's the select few who take it seriously and do it correctly making this our career.
My team and I are going to give this forum the good 'ol college try. Hopefully good results will be had all around.

Over the years a lot of recruiters have been told, though. And you guys are the first that have made the effort to check it out and joined. And not just here, but in any community I've known through the years. In fact, inviting recruiters has been an intentional thing. And it's not just the recruiters, but I've spoken to owners of firms that I know well and sometimes they'll take a moment to check it out, but go no further. It's weird. I spoke to several just in December, all local and all in IT, and none thought it worth even looking at.
I think it's more than not knowing. I think there is something that keeps the average recruiter away, but what, I don't know.

A big part of that is just hanging out with the folks on here -- not necessarily to recruit -- but just to get to know us and what-not.

Same problem with IT Pros. So many giving the field a bad name, and because of the technical nature of the industry those that hire IT can rarely tell the difference between someone who does a good job and someone who put them at risk and ran away.
