Voting for Topics

I feel like a 100% n00b asking this, but how do we vote on topics? I know we can upvote / downvote individual posts, but I cannot seem to find a way to vote on the thread itself.

Ok, I'm an idiot. The vote tally circled in the picture is based on the upvotes / downvotes of the first post in the thread.
