It doesn't sound completely unreasonable on my first read-through. It just differs from our opinions. I am going to read it more closely when I get home.

The pdf I linked is the actual speech Ajit Pai made about getting rid of title 2 net neutrality rules. Check it out.

@wirestyle22 Ajit Pai is paid shill for ISPs. Nothing he says is based on facts. He even starts that piece of shit paper by using Red/Blue bullshit. The Internet isnt the greatest free market story ever. It is the greatest Government project ever. Developed by and for large government institutions for communications. The greed machine just took it over in the mid 90s and has been actively ruining it since.

An isp can now tell you what you can and cant do with your utility access to the internet. The electric company cant tell you what things you can plug into your outlets.

                Implying it didn't before? 😛

I'd be much happier to have my southern friends on board with this too.

To be honest any decisions like this effect more than just the USA / Canada.

On a related note I'm tempted to start up a simple VPN service for Americans, hosted in Canada.

Think anyone would pay for it? How much?

Check out services like Hola. That's what people pay.

Someone needs to go through and fact check that release. Infrastructure spending by ISPs has actually gone up since the Title II reclassification in 2015 (correlation vs causation of course) at an increased rate that then the previous decade. If I had the time... man... basic economics would tell us if ISPs can't make money by nickle and dime-ing their customer base then they will need to invest in actually improving their infrastructure and customer service in order to compete with other providers.
