So I just got a call, ON MY WORK LINE from a recruiter from this outfit:
      https://twitter.com/ATIRecruitment

and they flat out asked me if I was happy where I work.......since I do support I often use my speaker phone. Great..........

I proceed to tell them how unprofessional the call was, and was told "Well how else are we supposed to contact you?"

FFS are you that dense? I didn't post my work number on LinkedIn, I DO have my Google Voice number published. I'm so pissed off right now.......

Unfortunately they usually are; I haven't gotten a call on my work line yet though. Have you had a staffing agency call you yet to tell you about the awesome anonymous company they're hiring for? Those are my favorite by far.

I get at least one of those calls a day. Not on my work line though. That is beyond rude and extremely unprofessional.

I haven't had a recruiter call me at work in years. Home, however's a different story (eat voicemail, punks!). It sounds like it's time for a headset, though. It's the ease of speakerphone with the privacy of a handset.

I'm going to ask for one in a few months, unfortunately I can't justify it ATM because I get very few calls a day as it is.

No one good ever comes via LinkedIn. It's the media of the dregs.

It's the very first time I have had a stalker call like this to my direct work line. They had to do some leg work to get that info, which is not published on LinkedIn BTW. That means they went to my company website, found the US office number, called the secretary and then got transferred to me, all to ask an guy with an IT background if he was interested in being a "Customer Champion" FFS. I really wonder how some people survive life being as stupid as they are, calling a random person they found on LinkedIn. They even flat out asked me if I "liked" where I was working and if I wanted a better opportunity, WITHOUT even telling me who the hell they were.

I've had Amazon call me repeatedly while I'm at work, even after I told them that I couldn't talk. They just keep calling over and over.
