That's too bad. Tough market.

You'd likely have better luck proposing a staff augmentation. From the description of the post and the size of the company, it's a warm body in a chair type of position.

I just had a quick chat with the boss, and he mentioned $15 - $18 per hour depending on experience.

Which is equivalent with ~$42k in Baltimore.

Given RAM's experience, I ran with $17 per hour, then factored in cost of living for his area compared with DFW. Housing's cheaper, gas is cheaper, and there's no state income tax.
Edit: Sad, I'm not making much more than that now!

Fort Worth is super cheap.

Hi
Scott Miller has referred me to this post and I'm interested in discussing things further with you.

Check the chat feature. Nick is trying to reach out to you. It's the talk balloon in the top right.

@David-M welcome to MangoLassi. Its a great community. And good luck on the job hunt. Great to see the community helping people to make connections.

I was thinking this could be cool but that's not enough for me. To leave where I am now, that would be going the wrong direction by a certainly noticeable margin...

We've made an offer to an internal candidate who has accepted. I wanted to let folks know this is no longer an open position (unless something goes horribly wrong).

Always a chance that he just won't show up on his first day.

From the sound of it, their first day was a while ago.

@alexntg it's all fun and games until no one shows up for work. Lol.
