      @BRRABill

      Since you've had a few months to test XS https://mangolassi.it/topic/8482/brrabill-s-field-report-with-xenserver

      Can you provide some thought/feedback?
      Is it what you expected, better, worse etc?

        I've been very happy thus far.

        For me, the more you think of it as an appliance, the better off you will be. But I am admittedly green in the Linux department, so maybe it is myself holding myself back.

        I don't feel like there is a lot of support out there. ML has been great, but the XS forums, not so much. I invited them here, but nothing.

        I have also found that a lot of the issues I have do not really affect the larger install of XS which is seems like most people are using it for.

        But, simple to install, set up VMs, manage with XO.

          Have you or do you plan to "transition" from Hyper-V to XS?

          Do you use the free or paid version of XO?

            Not a lot of support just because their one "official" forum isn't busy? I think that there is a bit of support, but like here, people aren't doing it in their isolated product forum.

              And where might that be? Might have come in handy when we were trying to figure stuff out.

                Here for example. Or ServerFault. Depending on if you are looking for advice (here) or fixes (there.)

                  So, when we couldn't figure things out, where do we go? ServerFault?

                  We're still posting here about stuff we investigated months ago.

                    Yes, ServerFault is a good option.

                      Breaking new ground has to happen somewhere.
