Very interesting method.
-
Does this mean that our reduction of measles has contributed to the rise of cancer?
-
@scottalanmiller Wouldn't that be ironic?
-
I looked up some quick charts and it does not appear to track closely in the US. But obviously there is no one factor. Someone should research that, though.

Lung cancer certainly increased:

Lung cancer is tough as it tracks to tobacco use.

I'm curious to see the result of further trials, since this one was only 2 people, and one of them didn't go into remission. It is exciting though, as a new form of treatment, especially in a "last resort" case like this woman.

Tobacco use isn't the only thing that causes it though. Working in a plastics factory and inhaling the fumes can cause it as well. Asbestos, Diesel fumes, etc.

wonder what year we started highly modifying / medicating all of our food. should probly check out that chart

Preaching to the choir. My mom never smoked once. They think it was radon exposure that caused her lung cancer.

You mean when we introduced "American" food?
-
genetic modification. regardless of origin.

I think unhealthy food, by definition, is "American" irrespective of its true place of origin.
