Full disclosure: they're paying for me to go to Spiceworld London due to me winning a drawing. I'm not getting anything else from them for mentioning their name here

RE: Quick Heal IP to be accessed through internet
My guess is that ISPs are IP poor in India, so they put all of the clients on private IPs. I know of at least one US ISP that does this as well. So for all intents and purposes in @Lakshmana's case these are "public IPs".

I don't know what the cost is, but Obliterase provides a service like this with a certification.

I've got an HP x2 612 that I'll be bringing for computer and then my phone.
Darn you and posting a tablet/laptop I actually like. Now I'll look at reviews of these.. These things look like I might like them better than a surface pro 3 and I'm looking for something similar. Now to see what I can get one for used (yeah, I'm cheap and almost always buy used for home use).
It has pros and cons. It is heavier than an SP3 with the keyboard attached, but it has a ton of battery life (after you update the firmware). Out of the box its sleep battery life was about the same as its active. Luckily HP fixed that relatively quickly. It has a ton of ports between the keyboard attachment and the device itself. Unfortunately most of the ports on the device are not accessible when it is docked. Biggest deal on this one that puts it over the SP3 in my opinion, fingerprint reader. Being able to swipe to login to a tablet is a big deal when you're trying to use it while holding it.

DOSBox is how I keep Colonization, MoO, and MoO2 alive. At some point I'll have to break down and get them from GoG, but today is not that day.
MoO2 is epic. Can't ever forget that game! Plasma cannon spam (IIRC??) was how I equipped my ships and they just mowed down the epic enemy fleets the AI would spawn out of freaking no where. To the point where it's game breaking just to try and do the battle lol.
Plasma cannons are OP. The best thing to do is trade your enemies the next weapon above it so they refit all their ships.

@Dominica is a classic Sierra game fan, like me. She is playing through the Leisure Suit Larry Archive from the 80s right now. LSL2 is EGA only.

It is the closest analogue to a MBP in the Windows world.
So windows runs slow on it? That was my experience on the newer versions of Mac OS on my latest gen macbook pro.
I was thinking more of the memory and battery optimizations. This thing is an i7 that is rated for 12 hours of battery life. Most i7s I've worked with are lucky to top 3.

AJ, if you read above, i had already done that to no avail. It was a problem with some of the autocomplete entries had corrupted.
Oh ok, my bad. I rarely will go back through and carefully read everything previously written in a thread.
That was in the OP.

RE: HP Stream
They're expensive, no doubt, but I'd take one: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-Spectre-x360-13-4003dx-Signature-Edition-2-in-1-PC/productID.316333400.

RE: HP Stream
You should look at the HP Spectre x360. Those things are nuts. They're not trendy, but HP and Microsoft worked together to create the most optimized installation of Windows you could get for the underlying hardware. It is the closest analogue to a MBP in the Windows world.

RE: HP Stream
If you order it from the Microsoft Store you get it with a clean install without any of the typical OEM bloat/adware.

RE: Tesla Announces Home Batteries
It is one of those things that is promising, but I don't know if its time has come yet. Based on the kWh capacity it doesn't seem practical as yet to be completely off the grid for an average household. I do like what Tesla is doing though by pushing the boundaries of what companies are willing to try.

I highly suspect that Apple has been working on something secretly.
Have you seen anything that would indicate this? Based on Apple's post Steve Jobs' record they haven't innovated much in quite some time. I don't think they have ever officially acknowledged that anyone would want a keyboard for working on an iPad. I'm not trying to be critical, but a solution like this doesn't fit with the Apple I know and support.

RE: Outlook crashing when sending messages
What about changing the default email editor to see if the problem might lie somewhere else other than Outlook?

RE: Could Continuum on Windows Phone change the way you or your business computes?
The next question I think is, how will the other players, Samsung, Apple, Motorola, etc. respond? Can they afford not to produce something equivalent?
