RE: Sound Systemposted in IT Discussion
@justin867 your best bet with this to hire a local audio/video company for this. I don't know how far you have any equipment or not. You will need to run audio cable to each room and install your volume controls in the wall at the end of those cables. You will most likely have a 70 volt speaker system so plan accordingly. Many companies offer sound sources that can be subscription based. I'm in car at the moment so can't look stuff up. You will need amplifier, mixer, sound sources, 70 volt speakers chained up, and your room drops coming off of those. That is the basics.

@scottalanmiller I think this brings to light a big problem in the IT world, people do not know how to do documentation. There are a few good ones but many more are just plain bad.

@rojoloco I just found a local distillery close to home . It's setup like a coffee shop with tables, comfy chairs CV and wifi. However you order a glass of whiskey here instead of coffee. Greatest thing ever!

RE: List All Installed Packages with Chocolateyposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller said in List All Installed Packages with Chocolatey:
When using Chocolatey on Windows, you will often want to list the currently installed packages on your system. You can do this with the following command...
choco list --local-onlyTo list all packages, their versions, and available upgrades...
choco upgrade all --noop*Note, this command replaces the older choco version all command.
This can also be shortened to just choco list -lo

@wrcombs Nice man! Drink as much water as you can, it helps with a lot of stuff. When your body is happier it will make those cravings slightly easier to deal with. Good luck!

I would use chocolatey and script updates/tasks into powershell script then use Windows task system to run that script every day. Use powershell remoting for anything else you don't want scripted
