RE: EATON AMA
@art_of_shred 70-80% is a safe bet. Sometimes it is lower, but that is typically what I default to when sizing.

RE: EATON AMA
@BRRABill There are a few things that go into it. One is the level of protection...that is typically the most important. Others included extended battery capability and network capability (many more, just naming a few). In some cases you may only require a certain level of protection and limited communication/extended run capability, so in those cases you'd be fine running a lower end UPS (less feature rich). But in general,we try to make it easy for someone off the street that knows nothing about UPS to be able to purchase protection for their "servers" and make sure that offering will provide them everything they would be required.

RE: EATON AMA
@dafyre Our offering is a liquid propane or natural gas generator, so no diesel. The electrical wiring, installation, and the ATS would be additional costs.

RE: EATON AMA
@JaredBusch Around $3,500-$4,000, not including the automatic transfer switch.

RE: EATON AMA
@JaredBusch Agreed, MSRP would be nice along with getting a quote. I'll be sure to pass your feedback along. We're always updating tools! Continued work in progress.

@gjacobse Nailed it! Absolutely! Advanced Battery Management is a huge features for us to help our customers extend battery life. @windso enough with the acronyms! Haha!

RE: EATON AMA
@gjacobse Our UPS units run a battery test every 30 days, set standard from the factory. If you prefer, you can increase the frequency. Utilizing the software can also provide you a live look at your current battery capacity.

RE: EATON AMA
@dafyre Yes, that one I linked ties directly into the web card of the UPS. It is accessible via SNMP that way. We also have one for our PDU offering.

RE: EATON AMA
@art_of_shred You can monitor temperature and humidity with one of our environmental monitoring probes. It also ties directly in with the software for monitoring purposes. https://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/Power-Management/Connectivity/emp.asp

@nadnerB Pretty much a cat....we do have offices and a local support in Australia.

RE: EATON AMA
@nadnerB They can be read through SNMP or our Intelligent Power Manager software. However, you prefer!

RE: EATON AMA
@JaredBusch Yeah, you should be good to go. If you haven't already downloaded the software, give it a try. Just make sure it provides what you need! We love feedback as well! Eaton.com/IntelligentPower

RE: EATON AMA
@JaredBusch They can report status, but you're unable to take any action on the ones that do not have the network card.
-
RE: EATON AMA
@JaredBusch Yes, all network card capable models can be tracked. Ones with a network card will be auto-detected and pulled into the main Intelligent Power Manager software screen. For those with a USB connection, it would require it to be loaded locally due to the limited communication capability on those units.
