Have you thought about an Amazon EC2 or Azure web instance? I realize that basic web hosting services are extremely cheap while EC2 and Azure can get expensive quickly depending on needs. The problem with basic hosting services is the support when something goes wrong.
Do you need a webhost with servers more local to you? That also makes a difference when looking for solutions.

I have an ex-client that used to use them. Hell I used them for a few years myself for basic hosting back in '02. They were nothing special. Just a run of the mill we hosting provider.

For people that like to tinker of futz with their stuff, the entire Android ecosystem is the place to be. For those of us who need the device (phone/tablet) as something that is not a toy, but works all the time I will always go with an Apple product at this time. If I had the free time to tinker, I would most definitely want to get an Android device. I simply do not have the time.

To specifically answer this point, Pertino is completely secure because there is no 1:N endpoint. Everything is device to device.
Example: You put Pertino on your DC and then on a sales laptop that is roaming the world. The person with the laptop has exactly the same access to the server as he has when he is in the office. I have this issue at a client site that has an old Firebox firewall with the transparent proxy in use doing content filtering.
You guys should enable HTTPS (even with a self signed cert for testing) to see if the problem disapears

Older one will be 6 in April. The younger was 4 in January.

I have been annoying people for a while with a copy of the old AOL "You've got mail" WAV file set as the notification on my iPhone. I generally have it on vibrate or on my headset, but i like to specifically turn it on in some situations

Not eating them, but do like them. Still trying to get the daughters to eat them.
