@scottalanmiller MangoCon looks AMAZING! I hope you have a great turn out and you talk goes well. Now you are just trying to make me jealous by telling me where you will be spending your autumn. Maybe I just need to come work for you and give up on starting a business. LOL

@HansiH
I have worn many hats but currently working on starting a managed IT services business. I am in process of networking and learning as much as possible. I would love to hear from those who have been in the field. We were using ConnectWise, InfusionSoft, Robin Robins for marketing training, Call Rail, and etc. Who are you using? What add on services do you have? Any suggestions and conversations will be appreciated. I look forward to talking and meeting new people in the field here.

RE: Why I Love Hiring Those that Teach Themselves
Excellent article and so wonderful that you give credit to the self taught. My grandfather (near the end of his lifetime) was considered to be the "World's Foremost Authority" on textile mills. Papa only had a second grade formal education. One day while talking about my choices for employment and education, I ask about how he picked his new hires. He said, "I will hire a B-C student every single day before I hire an A student." I looked at him puzzled. Papa replied to my puzzled look and said, "A B-C student is always willing to learn anything you are willing to teach them. An A student thinks they already know it all."
When I got out and started my own businesses I thought about the things Papa had told me. I often wondered if they were true or even close to true. I have been to school several times and have been a 4.0 student (but that was for ME not anyone else) and have watched people around me, people I have hired, people I have worked for... Papa was right. Scott your article is correct also. I would much rather work with a mind who is willing to continue to learn every day!

@scottalanmiller Thank you. I am glad to be here. I hope to network with others who are in the field of managed IT services. I am thinking of starting a business here in North Georgia. I would love to hear their advice on which service providers they use. Who you love working with and can't stand working with. What vendors you use for add on services and any advice you have. What do you wish you had know before you started? I am very appreciative ofany and all help.

@scottalanmiller I can see you all are a fun group. Yes, I am in the USA. In Dawsonville, GA to be exact. However, I would like to see the country of Georgia one day and hopefully Italy. I better get myself up and make lots of money to be able to do that. I can't wait to start hearing lots of insight. I can use all that others are willing to share.
Thank you for all the welcomes. @dafyre @StrongBad and @scottalanmiller
