No idea.

If it's a UEFI-enabled BIOS and it was in UEFI mode, it wouldn't see an older version of DBAN. That was probably your issue.

This is actually a problem in PowerShell too because it has the same 256 limit!! Which I just don't understand why this hasn't been permanently fixed--problem has only been around for a decade or so!

Anyway, to accomplish in PowerShell the best bet is to use Robocopy to just list the directories, then it's child's play to get the lengths > 256 and display. It's the Robocopy that's a pain, luckily:

Not that i have found. We add the "public" account to each users phone and just sync the calendar. I believe if you had something like Sharepoint you could sync it correctly.

So you created another mailbox, granted everyone rights to it that needed it, then you sync two accounts on their device, the users own mailbox and the "public" box?

Correct. I turn off syncing of mail to the public account. Which seems to prevent them from sending mail as that account.

Great idea, I know that works on i-devices, I'm not sure about android.

We have 3 Android devices so far. The user actually has to go through some significant effort to send mail as that other account if it isn't synced. I've also turned off external delivery for that mailbox so it will only send mail internally. I really don't recommend this unless it is a last resort, it is finicky and sometimes the phones just stop updating the calendar for some reason, the only fix is to remove that account and re-add it at least so far.

From your lips to god's ears! I'm dealing with this issue right now with several iPhones - for whatever reason random iPhones will refuse to sync a random appointment here or there, but others before or after seem to work just fine.

Yep... the only fix I've found thus far is to remove the entire account and re-sync it. We have ~3500 calendar reservations that get synced so it is a pain for users to do.

From talking to other colleagues this happens across all vendors - I'd say we have Konica out every 4-6 weeks to work on something, though this rarely means downtime. It's much better than the near weekly visits from Toshiba (and the Toshiba was offline 1 day in ten while we had it).

Our general office MFPs are all Sharps through the same company. Two of them we own outright with a maintenance agreement, the third is still under lease. We see that maintenance guy once every six months or longer.

Our desktop MFPs, Laniers, have a normal volume around 10K/month. They see service about every 4-6 months.

OneDrive for Business works, even normal OneDrive would work for this.

It is free to use. You only have to pay for the Premium membership if you want to use the app on your mobile device. But at that point it is the same as KeyPass, just slightly better in that as a commercial application, things are generally more polished.

I would vote for Eaton as well.

NTG uses xByte. They've been great. @g.jacobse already uses them so that works out well for him 🙂

Any luck getting them to whitelist you?

InfoPath is really a tool primarily for getting data into SharePoint. So if getting data into SharePoint's database so that you can manipulate, store and workflow it then InfoPath is really good. If your goal is something else, then it just generates XML. If you are building your own XML parsing system then that is great. If not, probably not the tool for you.

Once your network is set up, AD integration would be what you do next so that any and all account details are tied to it. But if you don't have AD, it doesn't matter.

Definitely impractical. Not 100% wasted as it does protect against PSU failure, still. But it does not leverage the degree of protection that you should have.

Mine is "Hello, you've reached the voicemail of the IT Department, please leave a message and we'll get back to you".

Honestly, if they're so stupid that they need instructions on how to leave a message (like telling them to leave a number), then I really don't want to talk to them. Then again, my voicemail system records the number they're calling from anyway, so it's generally not required.

Not that I ever phone anyone back anyway. I'm an e-mail only kind of guy.
