Use the clear-dnsservecache cmdlet
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/powershell/windows/dns-server/clear-dnsservercache
@Mike-Davis what about Windows Updates? That will do those huge chnages of space.
The MDM was provided by Maas 360 which was bare bones as you could not modify existing devices, you needed to renroll.
@anthonyh Reason is that when you upgraded XenCenter to 7.1 it has a different RPU002.xsupdate than what the poster had on the thread you mention. The poster noted the following on the thread: "you can find it in "c:\Program Files\Citrix\XenCenter". These 2 hotfixes (RPU0001 and RPU0002) are a part of XenCenter 7.0 install."
@scottalanmiller I just tried and it installed in 5 minutes without any problems and I am on the Desktop Experience screen
@scottalanmiller I am going to test shortly.
@scottalanmiller oh yeah, the person probably forgot to install it with the correct version and installed core.
@matteo-nunziati said in how do you reboot your linux VMs in hyper-v?:
nday I'll reboot the server from within the server room, with a monitor attached. let see if something strange happens even at hw level...
Looks as if there is more issues with that server than just VMs restarting. Are there any pending updates on it?
@scottalanmiller There is not, see below:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server-docs/get-started/getting-started-with-server-core
Microsoft Quote:
"Note
Unlike some previous releases of Windows Server, you cannot convert between Server Core and Server with Desktop Experience after installation. If you install Server Core and later decide to use Server with Desktop Experience, you should do a fresh installation."
@scottalanmiller yep the OP probably got Server 2016 Core or installed as Core since it is the default install type. Other than that they can convert it to GUI but it will be of no more help
@scottalanmiller well you are brilliant nonetheless so keep up the good work!
Even though the MD1000 wouldn't be a bad choice for backups I would recommend Synology as well, you probably will get more support, more space and expansion will give you flexibility. That being said I have PowerEdge 2900 runnig Freenas and they run very well.
@nagendra for the attachments size follow the article below:
https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Configuring_maxmessagesize
For moving the mailstore see below:
https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Move_messages_to_new_secondary_volume
In my SW post I said I did not use it but the reason keeping me from using it was because the backup/restore of the Synology email system did not seem easy to configure and reliable to maintain. That being said I usually use Zimbra as my opensource email system to go.
@scottalanmiller Interesting, That is a miracle!
@scottalanmiller wow that is an awful long time of non sleep!
@scottalanmiller my son is in the autism spectrum and has sleep apnea so I am constantly checking on him. Glad it does not happen often.
