Yeah I don't seem to be able to find it, too bad.

@DustinB3403 Thai...I think there are even more as you go up. Unconfirmed though.
There are not.

You can only access it if you are Thai or higher.

It's not automatic. Nearly everyone gets it, but not all.

Let's go 12% + of their staff, and offers me $250 bucks.
Even if that was them and not a vendor promotion, they can't stop running the business. If the promotions made sense before, then they make sense now.
-
Well, that sucks. I hate to see companies do badly because it effects the staff so much. Especially since you lot have that horrendous medical insurance scam.
-
Hopefully, they can sort the issues out and get the company and products back in shape.

Once you get laid off you often get improved health care.

Well, that's nice but it's always easier to find a job when you have a job.

@Grey They may have tied it to being global offsite, meet up etc. There's value in getting large groups together once a year.

Yeah, I know other companies that do that without even having the conference. I'm not fully convinced of the value in any case, but there is a case for it. It's like "team building" but it is more like "crappy vacation."
What's odd, though, is that the local people rarely attended.

Only because you were removed by choice. It is an automatic system event that has to be overridden manually for someone not to see it.

Spicy Peppers is a 100% automated process.

They are a marketing company and so a ton of the staff are marketing roles. Whether it is physical stuff like graphic artists that make ads to marketing consultants for vendors. Then they have a massive media department that does full TV style production with studios, editing, writing, etc. Then there is the normal IT staff, but that's like three or four people. Lots of management. Community management I feel was five or six people last that I was there. There is a content generation department. Sales was a huge department. There is a group that does conferences. Account management. Regional management. And then there was a group that made the software too and that team was enormous. You'd think that it was just one or two people but they had dozens of them; even almost ten years ago. What they all do we could never figure out, but there were tons. Then there is product support teams, Q&A and stuff like that.
More to this end--I deal with 3 people directly for our account.

It is such a shame. I do feel bad for those who are gone and only hope they can find something better. 12% is not small.
I think they recently removed the job board section (not that I used it), perhaps it would have been better to leave such a section up to help those people to find new jobs before removal. Probably wouldn't have helped them, but it is less cruel that way.Remove job page, sack people < Sack people, help them use the page to find job (possibly), remove job page.

Wow, just saw this news... but I'm not that surprised considering the activity over there had slowed to a trickle (and was often noob questions from people who have no business setting up systems). Plus the fact that they had been actively alienating their long time users. When my account got put into the moderation time out corner this last time, I stopped posting there altogether. If they cancel spiceworld, I better get my money back.
I was wondering where you went over there.
