website for MangoCon?

Yes the mangocon website.
Thanks
But there is still a circling thing on the main page - so it's not working correctly.
Refresh it. For some reason it has an issue loading the image the first time. Just hitting F5 seems to fix it every time.

Great, the hotel is sold out.

Yeah, but it's taking ages. I'm on 10GBit/s on a decent backbone at work on a very powerful workstation (Dual Xeon, plenty of RAM, SSD, bla bla, 1GBit/s dedicated bandwith on the uplink) and it's still like surfing on a P4 when you visit the site with empty caches. Maybe you should disable the preloading stuff, it's always causing more trouble than helping with "user experience".

The hotel is not sold out for some reason the code isn't working on their website. I have alerted them and their Web person is supposed to be fixing. However if you call them and make a reservation with the GRS code there are rooms still open.

You are not the only one to get that bad info. I think it is "sold out" because we have the entire place reserved for us. So if they don't realize that you are with the block that has the entire place, they see it as sold out. But there are plenty available and it is not going to sell out very likely, so you just have to be persistent.

And it is hosted in the EU right now, too. But that might get moved today.

Maybe a thread just for that would make sense.

OK good to know. I'm very rushingly going through the website, was that posted and I missed it?

Definitely, just like I was looking for a thread in the MC group that would have the website in the first post.

No, I think that there is something wrong on the hotel side causing them to give out bad info. So MQ is looking into that.

I was referring to the MangoCon website.
Now that I know that GS has booked the whole hotel for the con, I'm not surprised the hotel website indicates it's all booked, but knowing about the code, in my VERY fast glance I didn't see anything about needing a code too book during that time.

Ah ha, I have no idea about the code on the site. MQ can look into that one

If you hit the link on the MangoCon.it site it does autofill the code for you.

I clicked on the book it icon next to the hotel, as well as the picture of the hotel itself, they both took me to the PP site to pay for the con, I saw no easy way to book the hotel itself.

Hmmmm ok you found a bug in our new site. I will have to see who can help me fix that!

It's not a bug The hotel and the con are 2 separate payment entities.

I do notice that the sponsor links don't actually go anywhere. Not sure if that is by design or not. I was trying to figure out what Frog was.
-
The sponsor Icons will go somewhere once we get the site moved.
The Frog is our office sound company for the conference. Froggy Bottom Sound. They are who handles sound and lighting for Art's band and a few others in the Rochester area.

Added a link on the book now page for the hotel booking.
