I wouldn't consider this job unless it's $150,000+ but not sure if it would be or not. Why do they not list the pay?
Always the same... Pay peanuts, get monkeys. Would love to see companies to state at least some minimum or maximum salary. Would save a lot of time on both sides.

$150K, for a junior, in Romania? Are you kidding? Even Manhattan doesn't pay that for a junior position. Remember you can buy a farm here for $16K.

Everything in Bucharest is cheaper than anywhere in the US. $150K here would easily be like making $850K in NYC. You could buy a new place every year (without needing to sell the one before.) You can buy a BMW for 1/3rd the cost of the same car in the US. You can get a flat for under $100K (even in TX you can't do that.) Healthcare isn't a fee, it's free and included. If anyone paid $150K here, everyone would move here. The US would be unable to hire at all.

Does that include any animals?
LOL, never asked.

Asking the important questions

That's the point. Living costs are peanuts compared to Germany, UK, US etc. And Salary is virtually always proportional to living costs.

Yup. Plus standard/quality of living is far higher. You can definitely live better in Bucharest on the same money than in Texas, the lowest cost of the US. And salary converters often say you need to triple your income to justify moving from Texas to Minnesota. It's all relative.
In Bucharest you don't need a car, ever. Not many places in the US can boast the same. A few, but not many.

And you get views like this...
I know. Our next vacations will probably be in East Europe: Romania, Slovenia, Tzech Republic... somewhere there. Lovely places.

Those communists sure knew how to build depressing overbearing architecture

Um.... those were built in the 1800s before Communism was even in existence.

@MattSpeller use Google Street View. Drive through Prague for example. Those "commies" know how to build wonderful places.

Hmm ok fair enough, but my point stands

Oh, don't get me wrong, they made some nice stuff for sure. Check out Russia's train stations for example. Still they remain "grey concrete box" world champions.

I like my views better, right off the national forest. Night time you can find deer, fox, bear and other animals in my yard.

Not as many bear as you can find here. Romania is the world leader in bear.

It might be blocky, but it is pretty cool nonetheless. Not nearly as blocky as that Pentagon thing in the US.

That's why I love Western PA. Deer just walk through our yard (we have too many though), I've seen quite a few foxes, I could do without the groundhogs though.

Wish we had lots around here, I enjoy target practice more with reactive targets and a farmer (and his barn cats) paying and cheering me on
