So I'm in the car right now but I think you can order them from Ubiquiti store site now.

You can, but the price is the same as established vendors like BalticNetworks and DoubleRadius. So, all things considered, I would trust their distribution better than UBNT.

will the Edge router X power my old unifi AC (POE+) or will it only do Passive POE meant for the upstream WISP AP?

Looks to be passive POE only.. Sad.

Was considering condensing my setup. I have a Edge Router Lite, and a SG-300 24 POE+ switch at home.

The ER-X will not power anything. It is strictly a pass through.

You can use the Unifi Injector to power both.

No not according to the specs. It needs passive 24v injectors.

which part needs 24v? ERX or AP or both? the old Pro APs (non AC) used the lower voltage, don't know about the older AC APs.

I have the UAP‑AC‑LITE and am powering it via the POE pass-through on the ER-X. You just use the POE injector that comes with the AP to power the ER-X, which powers the AP.

Quick question, Does the X or Lite have any bandwidth controls?

I'm changing from sky to PlusNet (70Mb down) next month and they allow using your own kit 🙂 so was going to up into the Unifi stuff and get a router and AC Lite Access Point.

But I want to make sure my IPTV box (via CAT5 as I know I could do this with the Unifi AP) gets 40-50 say of that then the rest can be used for the kids pads etc.

I've not enabled that but it should. All the UBNT units use the same EdgeOS system so only the hardware varies between them.

@hobbit666 you can do all kinds of traffic shaping and QoS with multiple different methods.

I don't think I will need it with 70Mb down speeds but will be nice to know my investment will do good in the future if I need it 🙂
