I always created these as if I were selling myself because I essentially am, right? Maybe I need to change my outlook
Yes, but sell yourself based on having the skills needed, dont' act like a used car salesman trying to get someone to buy a car that they don't need.
It's a tech sheet, the person is already shopping. Filler does nothing for making good jobs interested in you. BUt tons of places will totally ignore you because of it.

@wirestyle22 did you manage to update your resume based on the feedback. I was working on mine and though of posting it here as well, as i could see it can get better with the community feedback!

@Ambarishrh I've been slowly editing it. My wedding planning mixed with my fiances 82 year old grandmother moving has consistently stopped any progress. It's not the grandma though it's the rest of the family getting involved where they don't have to. My life is a sitcom. I feel like John Cleese in that Fawlty Towers episode where he's just trying to hang a painting on the wall and everything goes to shit. His wife comes home and says "you had one thing to do"

Great show. I've watched every episode many times.

Not be an idea to do mine. No plans on changing job but keep it fresh with what i'm doing before I forget might be a good idea

I always recommend keeping it updated and ready to go. That way you are always thinking about it, thinking about what goes on it, where it is weak and it is ready when it is needed.
