Reason for having Beard ?

Beard length directly correlates to Linux knowledge. Tell them if you shave, you'll know less.
Possibly not a good idea, if he works with Windows exclusively he may have to take off the first layer of skin.
Then he has to value what hair he does have. Hair doesn't survive well in Windows environments.

In high school, we had 1 male student who was allowed to have a beard because he had a doctor's note for having extremely sensitive skin... maybe that will fly with your company. "But boss, it hurts to shave!"

Spoken like a true Windows Admin, lol.
*I stare solemnly off in the distance, rubbing the short hair on my head, wishing for it to grow faster than I feel the need to pull it out.

Get a doctor's note saying you have a problem with skin irritation and ingrown hairs if you have to shave.

This is what a lot of my military friends are doing, although they do actually get serious skin irritation if they shave.

I do too.. I haven't shaved since October..
But I've had IT jobs in the past where I had to. My face always stayed red from the irritation.

I'm the opposite if my beard grows too long I start to get irritation. The longest I've got without a shave was 3 months... it was pure torture toward the end.

I trim my beard down, but VERY rarely go clean shaven as I look about 15 afterwards...using an old school safety razor has reduced the inflammation etc I used to get though...

My wife bought me a butterfly razor two years ago for Christmas. Best shave I've ever had.

yeah, that's the type I use now - building up to getting a straight/cut throat Razor at some point...

I collect them! Best shave you can get, and incredibly cheap for blades. Treat yourself to a blade sample pack and find one that shaves best for you! I like the Feather blades - first shave is too close (remember to adjust the height dial!), second and third are perfect. The other one I enjoy is the Lord Platinum - two perfect shaves, then toss.

I've been using shark blades. I get 4 or 5 good shaves per blade. I'm actually on my last one need to get some new ones.
-
@coliver I didn't enjoy those at all but that's why the sample pack is awesome!
I wouldn't recommend going more than 3 shaves unless you shave daily. The blades rust and lose their edge very quickly.

I shave once a week on average. They do lose their edge really quickly. The last shave is always pretty rough.
-
@MattSpeller I only shave once a week, so I just throw a new blade on every time since they are so cheap.
-
@coliver I'd use a fresh blade every time then.

I probably should. My wife got me a 20 pack of the shark blades and I wanted to make them last.

$0.10/blade - treat yourself

I'll try that sampler pack first. Maybe I'll find one I like better.

@MattSpeller What is this height dial that you speak of? I haven't found anything like that on mine.
