It has been a week and I am liking the Nylas N1 client more and more. I have gotten used to it and am not instinctively going to my browser any more for my email. Having one client for multiple emails is very nice, makes things easier when you have more than one account to manage.

eh? You didn't have all of the email accounts connect into a single central account?

exactly. I do that with my O365 account now.

For other people, they use gmail as their primary, and have gmail either get the emails, or if the other side allows it, all messages are forwarded to gmail.

With the issues I've had with O365 email delivery, I'm glad that I didn't do that. Not that it would have been tragic as they still would not be stored there, but still a pain.

Only because of your issues - but if you didn't have issues, wouldn't have been the thing to do?

Latest update has provided a unified mailbox for all of my accounts. Still getting used to it, but I already like it a bit better than before.

Does this mail client link with calendar, contacts, etc? I've never had any of the hard times with outlook you mentioned.

No, currently it is only email. But doesn't matter much for me as my calendar doesn't really work in Outlook either because of Microsoft doing so much damage to my account. It's there but it is full of other people's stuff and not mine, so it is basically useless. My secretary is my only calendar these days.

Since I originally switched, N1 now has multiple mailbox in a single view, which is a nice improvement over a few months ago.

I do have some interface things that I don't like, like what seems to be a forced conversation view, I hate that. It makes following a conversation rather hard. But the system gets email super fast, I get N1 notifications faster than GMail or O365 can show messages natively!

when are you going to give up on that account and just make a new one with a new name?

Never, it's my global email name. And Microsoft needs to be accountable for their service working.

If I switched, it would cause no end of issues with people not being able to reach me AND it would cover up an incredibly serious issue that Microsoft needs to be aware of and answer for.

Didn't work out as they'd hoped as it has caused us to diversify products rather than tying into them.

Been a while. I'm trying out Nylas N1 again, this time on Korora and mostly used against Zimbra. It's fully free now, but they've forgotten to remove the "upgrade" links all over the place that now go to 404 pages.
