OneDrive Syncing For PC
-
You can of course already have a OneDrive account and a OneDrive for Business account on your PC. That has always worked because they are completely different technologies.
-
I thought there was...
ODfP (Onedrive for personal use) and
ODfB (Onedrive for Business)I have both, wanted to easily access them on my PC, like I current for ODfP.

There is only OneDrive and OneDrive for Business. There are no other products.
The blue cloud is ODfB and the white cloud is OneDrive
Both have always been able to exist on a computer at the same time. ODfB is Groove.exe. OneDrive used to be called SkyDrive and is integrated in Windows 8 and 10.

Sweet. Didn't know you could do both. That is awesome, and now installed on my PC.
Now if I could do multiple accounts that would be awesome!
-
Hmmm, I like that Onedrive (ODfP) shows whether things are synced or not with the green arrow thingie.
ODfB doesn't seem to have that.

That is just a bug. It shows in some views, but often not in the main Windows Explorer view.

Why would one MS product actually work with another, especially as so infrequently used as Window Explorer? LOL.

You really shouldn't use ODfP. That is not a real thing. It's simply OneDrive or OD. I realize these names are horrible and don't lend themselves to easy understanding by the masses, but those who participate in general are expected to not be part of those masses, therefore are expected to understand the difference between OD and ODfB.
I know this sounds harsh, but it's not meant to be. Scott has struck me down many a time here and at SW because I was being lazy with explanations or terminology use, stating what I did above. I realized he was correct and that if we want to make sure we continue to grow and have a correct understanding of each other in this common community, we need to use the correct terminology.

Yes, you were doing this in another thread. There are exact, real names for each of these products. Making up fake ones in a field that is confusing enough with people misusing real ones is untenable. And more than anything, you will confuse yourself. There is no need for fake names as real ones already exist. But real ones can be verified, fake ones we have to guess and hope that you mapped what you think that you mapped.

No, I meant that @BRRABill was making up new terms like this in another thread too.

DBfB and DBfP were new product names he had made up.
-
I think that he might think that ODfB is something we made up and not the actual product name. It's a name, not a description.

Right, he was, but, Probably in one of his own threads, I used the same terms to keep in line with what he was saying...

Can I get a chart of the proper acronyms, please?
OD = OneDrive, typically used for personal use
ODfB = OneDrivve for Business, typically used for business use

?????It's not a chart of acronyms, it is just product names. You are talking about two products: OneDrive and OneDrive for Business. The acronym is ODfB because it is the letters of the name. No one really abbreviates OneDrive because it is so short and only one word.
ODfP is short for a made up product name, like DBfB. Even if you know what the words stand for it is confusing because it isn't the name of an actual product.

So ... DBB? Or just write it out? I can write it out, but always saw it as acronyms here.

You've seen DropBox Business initialized here? I've never seen that or OneDrive or nearly anything acronymed. ODfB is a special base because it is written so often and is so long and people so commonly get lazy and shorten it to its competing product name.
