So excited for this! It is going to be awesome

Will there be decent (i.e., not insanely hot and humid) weather there in September?

September in Rochester isn't that bad. It may be a little on the warm side but shouldn't be humid.
-
Whoo hoo, this is awesome!!

The hotel price is $119/night and if people make their reservations fast we could get the hotel completely to ourselves! I will get all the pertinent information out to you all next week, even ahead of the website launch.
-
Hmm, which way to go. Also, Google failed to give me a route via Canada. That can be decent if immigration is not crowded.

Wow, you are planning on that many people? That Holiday inn is on the large size IIRC.
-
There are only 217 rooms there. We have a block of 180 blocked off right now. It would be awesome to fully take over the hotel completely and be the only ones there!

Need a road trip buddy?

We did the route from here through to Flint MI in October, not a bad drive.

The rate there for this week is only $88. Is September generally higher?
-
Fall in the Rochester area is pretty popular so the rates climb up that time of year at all the hotels in the area.

I've done Rochester to Flint in five hours! I did a round trip from downtown Rochester to Chicago AND back in 20 hours flat. So ten hours each way including times for bathrooms, food and loading a truck in Chicago.
-
Looking forward to it!

Mapping tools tell me the route from home to the client I usually hit first by St Louis is 4.5 hours. I always do it in 4.

Not really worried about the price, it is reasonable. Not surprised by the fluctuation even, I know how that stuff works. Just a bit by the amount of difference.

This is exciting!!!

I'm seeing the rate at $135 for the actual dates in september, on the hotel website. Is the $119 rate locked in?
-
$119 is pretty cheap compared to what I payed at SW
