Weekend plans were to go to the local HamFest to see what I could come up with. I need some coax and other misc parts. However that was changed as I'll be solo for a football game and other normal tasks while my wife is off doing CE ... sigh what is point in planning something six months out if someone goes and changes it 3 weeks prior....
What's your call sign? Mine is KF5CCF
I gotta get mine now that I can hear again... You still have to do Morse to get your Ham license?
...and does anybody remember W4BKK ?
You no longer need Morse Code for the Amateur Class license... Im not positive on the higher classes.
I am a General Class - No Morse requirement.

Sweet. I wonder if I could get my Gramps call sign back in the family.
-
@dafyre Good luck with that... I didn't have any options when I got mine... it was just assigned to me.
-
@dafyre The amateur class is real easy to get, read through the material from fcc a couple of times the night before I took the test.

My gramps had one of the higher class ones, I think. He did a lot of stuff for the military in the first gulf war.

Red Rocker? I thought maybe Sammy was there. Oh well.

Got my old Boxee Box "hacked"/updated with Kodi and Plex client. It's finally useful again and the interface is pretty snappy for an older box.
Now to continue ripping all of my DVDs to my Plex server. This may take a while.
-
Happy Monday! Trying to finish getting caught up on emails. And clean up the MC mess in my house (there are boxes everywhere)!

Having seen the setup that @art_of_shred and @Minion-Queen have, I am considering doing the same. The ReadyNAS is already in place and stocked with media.

It's running Win10, as a player, I know it had VLC as one of two players.. @art_of_shred or @Mike-Ralston would know.
-
It has VLC on it that's it
-
We have a external hard drive connected to it as well. Works great. Most of our movies are on a NAS, ITunes (have an appletv) or Amazon.
-
Win 10 is pretty expensive for that unit considering everything else.
