@QuixoticJeremy again, somehow they are making 7 figures a year.
Yep, I guess the same way that you and I are somehow making money as well.

I never watch online streaming of other people playing video games.
I've done it once and twice and each time I catch my self asking "why the hell am I watching this person play, when I could be playing!"

Only the major events, superbowl, world cup. Almost never the games leading up to it.

Well the same logic applies, why watch these events when you can go out and play the sport? Lot's of people watch video games for many reasons. When I was gaming more I would watch those better than me to learn from them. Plus once you start watching a particular game and get to know the players it's no different than being an avid bills fan etc. At the end of the day you just have to think "to each their own"

World of Warships. Totally addicting for me as a naval history buff. I haven't played World of Tanks or WoAirplanes yet, because life.
I have a friend who plays that all day everywhere - we go to lunch and he spends the whole time showing me videos of him playing the game.. dude - are you 12? LOL
Hey to each their own! There are pro video gamers my age making 7 figures a year.
/sigh - I know.. advertising is crazy!

Yep, same concept why football players/basketball players get paid so much.

Nope, not at all. But I do watch TV, so I understand how it works.

I picked up Factorio last night for $20 on steam. It's an early access game.
It's different, still trying to figure it out.
I'm going to pick it up I think. Not that I have much time but I may play it a bit this weekend.

I generally watch other people playing a game while I play a game.

I game on my laptop more than my desktop, so I don't have a second monitor to watch from.

I'm a huge fan of watching Overwatch be played. I don't have the time to actively play it but I can passively watch it while hanging out with my wife and kid. That and for some reason I enjoy watching specific youtubers/streamers playing Minecraft.

If you do, we can learn together, I just got through the intro, and started a basic "learner" map

Same here. I haven't touched league of legends in months but I'm still up to date on the professional circuit. Typically back when I had time I would game while watching someone else game as well. Dual monitors are good for more than work!

Sounds good. I'll let you know.

I upgraded my GPU at the weekend - got a cracking deal on 3x EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid cards - should be £595 retail, but they were ex-display (never used in a system) and got them for £400 each! So upgraded my 1080 SuperClocked to the FTW edition and had a rework of my cooling setup (2 new fans put in, and the others rearranged).
Hitting 200+ fps on all the games I've tried so far!
Still spent £1200 on GPU's. . .
and sold 2 plus my old 1080 SC to cover costs. Free upgrade for me

Made it to #4 in PUBG with two kills (one from a grenade) - my best showing yet. Snuck up on a couple people having a firefight and took them both out.

Congrats

@scottalanmiller Thanks - it's a really fun game. Like DayZ but the matches last a max of 30 minutes so it doesn't take forever for the action to start.
