basementgamer-cave dweller... Fortunately, I only ever make it there for short visits.I was definitely that way when I played Command and Conquer and all the followup games. 1994 - 2002ish. after that I kinda fell away from them.

Does it really matter? We can't buy anything from Lenovo, even if they invented the cure to cancer, would you trust them enough to buy it?

I recently rediscovered the MUD that made me swear off MMORPG gaming for life. It sucked me in to the point where I was going to work, playing and sleeping and that was it:

At least the experience taught me to avoid them for the rest of my life. Same reason I'm avoiding Minecraft as well. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

You're right... but providing this isn't vapor/malware this could be a serious contender. The big problem will be software.

MUDs were awesome. I was a pioneer of DoS attacks in the MUD days. MUDs are what got me into a lot of gaming. I played a ton for many years and my first UNIX cluster at home was for playing a MUD in the house.

Serious contender for what? Beyond Lenovo being scary and untrustable... they've never made anything actually good anyway. No way they are going to start now.

Well, they buy IBM stuff, but only the cast offs that IBM felt wasn't very good. What good stuff does Lenovo buy?

Most companies do this, with scale means streamlining production and other expenses. Most people need "good enough" not top of the line.

Lenovo is a great brand you guys are just looking for the wrong product. If you were looking for security holes and bloatware they'd be your go to guys
