Let my brother-in-law borrow Norwegian Wood and Predictably Irrational

Finished Dr. Sleep a bit back... so so good... I've got a few things downloaded from my Kindle Library but I just haven't been able to get into anything lately. I've been a huge fan of Dale Brown thrillers for years, but each time I've tried to read the last few books... just haven't felt it. I've go a few fantasy series downloaded but again... just not appealing... and I haven't read any pure sci fi in YEARS... I find myself missing the old days of Asimov, Niven, etc... just showing my age I guess.

Was given "Right Here, Right Now: Politics and Leadership in the Age of Disruption" by R.H. Stephen J. Harper one of our former Prime Ministers.
Awesome book and gives some good history and perspectives on the populist movements around the world but especially in the US and to some extent EU.
Definitely worth the read. I'm about half way through it.

Just finished two Jane Harper novels: "The Dry" and "Force of Nature."
Starting Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson -
Going to start on "The power of Habit" - @Tech1 suggested it.
-
Just finished 1Q84, segue into 1984 then to Brave New World. Seems depressing. Maybe.

That's a depressing line up, yes.

I prefer a Habit of Power

My daughter loved the book thought the movie sucked.

I've not seen the latest one, but so far all the movies have sucked and always give up one book into a five book cycle, which is just silly. Especially as it isn't the best one.
But the books don't lend themselves to film, there is zero action.

Always have 3 books in the works - one professional, one bedtime and one audio. Right now I'm going through the Cassandra definitive guide, midway through the Wheel of Time series and The Prince of Thorns trilogy on audio. Plenty of books queued up, on all 3 queues
-
I love the wheel of time series. I've just about collected all the audio books again to binge listen to the series in one go.
-
@Donahue That's what I did the first time. Well, the binge didn't happen then because the last 4 books weren't written yet, but still. This time I decided to actually read, it's a very different experience

I've read the series before, it was right as the last book was coming out. Because of it, I really got into Brandon Sanderson, he's probably in my top 3. Try the mistborn series if you're not familiar.
-
@Donahue exactly how I got into Sanderson myself. Read pretty much all of his stuff already

I generally stay more in the Sci-fi arena, but there is something about the way those series did magic that I just really liked.
