TV/Movies Discussion

@ajstringham Wilfred is about a guy who starts hallucinating that a dog can talk. True Detective is about ritual murders in the south and two detectives trying to solve it.
-
@Nic That sounds like a good show. Is it on Netflix by chance?
-
@Nic I was just told that by my buddy - I'm going to start True Detective as soon as I finish the last season of 24.
-
I am jealous it took me 2 months to watch 2 seasons of Continuum on Netflix and most of that was watching 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there when I am bored.
-
@ajstringham Wilfred is. True Detective is currently on HBO.
-
@Minion-Queen Bored? I didn't think you had time to be bored. We're going to have to fix this "bored" situation.
-
@Nic And okay, was just curious if I could do Netflix or had to...procure it via alternative means.
-
@ajstringham
1.) Far too many...
2.) Friends, Frasier, E.R.
3.) SLC Punk!, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, My Girl
4.) Spring Breakers
5.) American Mary (horror, pretty damn awesome). Excited to see? Guardians of the Galaxy -
Ashbot is here!!
-
- My first in that way was Lost. Only have seen through Season 3 though.
- Good, good and good. Never watched much E.R. but my parents loved it. I was really young when it was big.
- Never even heard of any of those.
- Agreed. Sadly I do know what that is...
- I look forward to Guardians as well.
-
@scottalanmiller Of course she is! Where else would she be?
-
Yes... yes... I am here. Sorry it took a while. Was under the weather.
-
@Ashbot Glad you're here!
-
@ajstringham Get a GF, that will take care of that problem! You'll never be bored again......
-
@Bill-Kindle What? I'm confused on the context of the statement. Not the statement itself...
-
Most ground-breaking, influential movie ever? Gotta be Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure!!!

Dude!
-
- Firefly, Doctor Who Series 1 (and beyond), Coupling, Downton Abbey, and lots more.
- The Cosby Show - this was the one show that my family sat down and watched together every Thursday night while I was growing up. When Scott and I recently re-watched it, we realized that viewing it as a parent is an entirely new experience, and so much funnier.
- Last of the Mohicans. I watched this with my high school boyfriend, and I was crying so hard at the end that I was mortified for him to see me that way, but I couldn't help it. I'm talking SOBBING. Over a movie. sigh
- I HATE Dumb & Dumber. Ugh.
- Frozen is the last new movie I saw in a theatre. It was awesome.
-
@dominica has to love Last of the Mohicans. It is one of the Leatherstocking Tales. And she grew up in the NY Leatherstocking named after the book series.
-
@scottalanmiller Probably the only Daniel Day lewis movie I ever saw besides Lincoln.......wait, weren't those his only movies?
