I've been using Comodo. Works fairly well and their support is awesome.
 -
Comodo is the most popular along with verisign https://www.instantssl.com/ search around for resellers though, comodo can be had much cheaper than direct.
 -
I generally use GoDaddy but an open to other suggestions.

Nice that is inexpensive I will have to look at that for personal use, although I think Comodo (or InstantSSL) does a free for a year thing too.
 -
StartCom also does a free one... (http://cert.startcom.org/)

I almost always go through GoDaddy because I am never buying a single domain cert. Their UC cert works just right for the price.
I've been meaning to try cheapssl as linked above sometime when I need a single domain cert, just have not needed it yet.

I had mine from https://www.cheapsslshop.com/ at $3.50 for 5 years.

We get from rapidssl https://www.rapidssl.com/ (single domain- $49, wild card $199) or network solutions
