British Pound hit $1.18 this morning!!

Flash crash sees the pound gyrate in Asian trading
      http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-37582150

@dominica heard from a difference source that it dipped to as low as $1.13 pushing it BELOW the Euro for a moment.

So other than big banks/stock brokers with access to instant trading stuff, I'm assuming that almost no one had access to those prices in real life

Anyone can get an FX trading account and get those prices. Doesn't require anything special.

My roommate's mom does FX trading sometimes. You can just pick up a book to learn how and get software and an account with a brokerage to do it. No different than trading in stocks or bonds or whatever. As long as you are trading for yourself and not getting paid to do it, there aren't any limitations.

Not sure if I saw someone post this here or not, but it's pretty funny... and then I find out that the guy is a friend of a close friend of mine. Priceless.

He should be in some trouble and should fix things that he broke, but he was TRYING to do something good. Hopefully that counts for something. Nothing malicious there. Just a dumbass.

well, he is in court today for his numerous other unresolved drug-related charges and whatnot. So, he probably won't get into any more trouble for this than he is likely already in.

Seems like either they are or are not at risk. Hard to believe that there is such a concept as "might be at risk."

Would that be "risk of being at risk"? And if so, isn't that just... risk?

Yep, for sure. I know that my dad's pacemaker is programmable along with the contactless charging, tho to do either, you have to place something directly over the control unit on his chest. I'd be more than a little peed off if they made them able to use bluetooth.

What limits that range? We've seen all kinds of range extension attacks as of late (well actually for a while now). If it uses radio, how are you not pretty much screwed..

Radio technology, normally. Some of those signals effectively die after an inch or two.

Have you ever used the contactless charging? I refuse to call it wireless charging, because it just will not work without being within millimeters of the charging device. The only communications it does is through the same hall-effect, so no, no "radio".

Amplified, yes. But how does one amplify a pace maker? And the amount of power goes up exponentially. What is 1mw at 1mm might be 100w at 1cm.
