They do use nuclear rockets and batteries, just very small ones on probes and such.
I cant remember the name of the stories, but it is definitely in the Science Fiction Hall of Fame anthology (i have all 6 of em, theyre great) where many of the stories involve nuclear rockets because the authors all thought that's how we would get around in near future. too bad we arent, due to fearmongering and ignorance.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_propulsionThe SciShow had a good article on why nuclear propulsion wasn't practical.

This is all 100% completely something I agree with, but I completely ignore it because the entire StarWars armed nuclear missiles in orbit scare of the 80's pretty much negated realistic nuclear in space.
Nuclear in space is pretty decent. It's getting nuclear into space that is the problem. High orbit nuclear is pretty disastrous.

It's very uncommon here, Germany is a very safe place overall. I don't have any idea what may be going on in some sick people's mind.
Munich is in the south, while the 3 ML members I'm aware of are in Berlin (East, @jospoortvliet), somewhere near Frankfurt (Middle part, @Adaministrator) and Hamburg (North, me), so no one of us was closer than maybe 300km or so.

Well, looks like no asteroid, I even gave it 10 days instead of 7. I like how the motto is "Exposing the truth, you decide", the truth isn't democratic or subjective, it's either 1 or 0.

And the week after next they pretend like they never made the prediction, as all conspiracy theorists do.
I noticed too that people are still commenting not realising that a week has more than passed.
I will say to @thanksajdotcom's credit this site does have some interesting articles though, and I don't mean to sound like I'm picking on him, rather I'm picking on the many web sites out there which do alarmist things like this and then pretend like it didn't happen.

I really have to look for the picture I shot in a shopping mall at a small Chinese-to-go restaurant back in 2012. They were selling DDD - Doomsday Duck - "and just today"
