Yup. Twelve watches and they hope to make what, $20 on each if they are lucky? You can't lease $350 items in small quantity and even pay to keep the lights on, let alone employ anyone.

They can charge whatever they want to lease them. If they can't lease them or only lease them a few times they can just sell them. What you aren't considering is that the watches don't actually cost that much when you consider the resell value.

The theory is that there is no resell value.

I wouldn't buy one that's encrusted with someone else's human detritus - agreed.

It's a changing item. Technology in a watch. Normally watches are collectables. Technology in watches not so much. And even more so given that this is the first generation - which is usually apples "beta" basically meaning it won't last very long until they bring another one out to fix all the issues everyone has in less than 1 year.

Did you read the website? The leasing website is all dedicated to talking about how they believe Apple Watches have little resell value and that's their whole pitch for the leasing.

No I did not read the website. I just read the facts about them having 12 watches on here. Yes, that is a very stupid model

Plus won't watches likely be heavily abused compared to, say, a laptop?

I am sure the lease will be written unfavorably for the customer. People are desperate to get ahold of the watches. People accepting insane terms would not surprise me.

@IRJ Sucker born every minute. I'd believe it, I've seen worse.

It can only be so extreme before people, even dumb people, shell out $350 to just buy one. No matter what, they need a LOT of watches for this to work.
-
People are dumb when it comes to apple stuff. Now don't get my wrong I like my stuff but jeeze really sheeple here.
