What does your desk look like?

He has to use a trackball as there is nowhere to run a mouse!

No, I ALWAYS use a trackball. I have preferred them since high school, lol.

You mean you don't? I haven't used a "regular" mouse in... 20 years or so, lol. (Me and Pops got 2 of the Logitec Marble Mouse PS/2 Trackballs when they first came out ($60 bucks each)...) That was like around 1995 or 98 or so... He's still got one that works hooked up to his server.

Never liked them. Use there here and there since the early 80s but just never got the feel for it. I really like how little space it takes up, but don't like the joystick-like control.

I can definitely see the joystick aspect of it... but I have used trackballs for so long that it doesn't feel like that to me any more. I can't imagine playing an FPS like WoW or BattleField with a joystick (or game pad) or even a regular mouse these days.
NB: Screenshot of mydesk coming some time this week.

This was the perfect setup for a recursive image, and yet you missed it.

Mostly I stand. Unfortunately, it is about 4 inches too low for really comfortable typing. So when I do coding and not support work, I will end up sitting after a while.
100% IKEA though. Love that place. Do not care about the concept of "heirloom" furniture.

If you see the dots by the light post in that picture, that's my family out on the beach leaving me back at the condo to work.
