@scottalanmiller At last I found something educational on one of these sites. I can't believe I've never heard of that before.

What did you find? To which link are you referring?

@scottalanmiller Sorry Scott. It was the keg stand. I had just logged in, hadn't got very far down the thread. I didn't realise the vast array of useful information I could encounter.

LOL, gotcha. That one was quite a while ago. You are in Ireland? I guess that it is just an American thing.

@scottalanmiller If it's done, I haven't seen it. So are you not on SW any more?

@ken I'm still one of the top posters and top BAs every day. But it isn't the only place that I post.

@scottalanmiller I think the cloning rumours must be true so. Who set up Mango Lassi? Someone just told me about it in London yesterday.

Oh wow, that's awesome that people are talking about it across the pond. It's only about three months old and very little has been done to promote it (but you can see how busy it is.) It's run by a social media consultancy out of Texas, GroveSocial, that is a new startup that builds online communities and manages them for companies. This is one of their showcase communities for the obvious reasons that companies that build communities do so on IT so it is a natural place to start as a showcase. They have other communities going live soon, this is just the first while they work out bugs behind the scenes. But lots and lots of people from SW are here. GroveSocial brought in NTG to be their technology partner, both because of our technology acumen but also because we are the tech leaders in social media. So the choice was natural (I hope.) @Nic is here too!
It's a different community that at SW. There is no "vendor" represented. SW is built around their own product, ML is just around being a community. And here, all vendors and service providers are openly welcome. There is no differentiation between different types of IT pros as to some pay and some don't.

@ken Hi Ken, and welcome to MangoLassi. Great to have you here. @Addie and I are with GroveSocial. We aren't technical like you folks, but we are with the GS Social Media Marketing Platform team. We are really excited about MangoLassi and how the community has taken off. This is just the beginning for us. We will be going "public" with our GroveSocial presence soon and will have several internal communities that we run ourselves (no representing sponsor) to showcase sooner than later and will be running communities on behalf of others soon (we hope) as well.
We are really a managed Social Media Marketing company, which is I think the best description. We can run whole communities, as you can see, or we can assist in the running of existing communities, consult, etc.

@steve Great to know guys. Best of luck with it Steve. It seems to be a very smooth running service. Does it have a mobile element?
