Things that irk me:
"lets be honest 16.04 LTS is not that outdated...14.04 LTS can be said to be outdated"
Umm. . . but it is Out of date. . .

This is like saying "Server 2012 isn't that out of date", yet you purchase 2016 licenses and choose to downgrade for some reason. (Likely a bad reason).

Yeah Ubuntu 17.x is already EoL.... so yeah, 16.04 LTS is way outdated by now.

18.04 is "mature" at this point.
