Works for me. I am able UNC to \IP\C$ even though my work PC is on the domain and that Windows 10 test PC is not.

To be honest, the files in question are on my NAS. I actually just transferred them from the NAS to the main workstation in question. Now I'm more just curious as to why authentication isn't working...

that doesnt mean you gave that account ownership. That just means your are trying to authenticate yourself with that account

I dont think its a permission problem. I don't know what to tell you at this point. Maybe something is blocking file sharing over the network.
