Yes. Lots of good technology in there. Dream cast was awesome too.

Do you remember the fish-man game? I was never sure whether I really enjoyed that.

Speaking of DreamCast i was addicted to Soul Caliber for the longest time.

With Leonard Nimoy. How could I forget? That thing was insane.

I'm running an AMD Athlon 64x2 with 4GB of RAM, nVidia 560TI, and Kingston SSD. It isn't much, but plays FFXIV on high settings with no issues.

Wow. That's even below my system. Surprised that it does that well.

You really don't need too much these days.

now that's funny. My friend who upgrade his machine last year to a 8 core AMD setup is already wanting to upgrade again. This time the current i7 with 16 Gig RAM, he might look for a faster SSD too.

I have spent way too much on my gaming rig..

                      EVGA SuperClocked 03G-P4-2783-KR GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-bit GDDR5

                      Cooling

                      Inputs/Display
                      Hanns-G HL272HPB Black 27" 2ms LED Monitor (x3)
                      Razer Naga
Razer Blackwidow 2013 Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard

                      Storage
60GB SSD for OS, 250GB SSD for Games, 2TB for Misc.

I started with budget parts and now pre-ordered some of my components. These are my preferences based off of that.

                      Corsair for Cases, RAM, Coolants
                      EVGA for Mobos, GPUs
                      Mushkin or g.Skill for RAM
Intel for CPU (some great AMD's out there though)

Had great luck with EVGA and Corsair's customer service and RMA processes.

EVGA has some of the best lifespan for their GPU's, so far as I've seen. Corsair Cases, Keyboards, and Cooling Solutions are the best. AMD actually has their own series of RAM products now, ranging anywhere from the slower 1300 modules wih no shielding all the way up to the mighty 3000 range with 100% purity all Aluminum heat shields, and I'm quite impressed with it, it preforms quite well. Asus or MSI for motherboards, and as CPU's are far above and beyond what is needed from them, anything made within the past 3 years over a dual core should be fine. RaidMax, ThermalTake, and InWin also have some great chassis solutions. And that's a sweet card you got there, @seth-cooper

Wow. My computer cost me $375 off-the-shelf (Asus Essentio) and about the same for the video card and power supply. That was in 2011. The SSD was less than $100 late last year.

Haven't played in years, but my favorite racing game was Pro Race Driver, I had it for PC and PS2. Loved Need for Speed Most Wanted v1.

@alexntg You're sure you've got that right? The video card itself he has there is worth significantly more than that.

The pricing I paid was for my computer, not his.

My curent gaming rig is a Acer Aspire v3... 16GB ram and an Nvidia something or another with 2GB of ram. It has played every game I've thrown at it beautifully.
