What are you listening to? What would you recommend?

Hey, @ChrisL , ever listen to Gift of Gab or Lyrics Born? They were around a couple of years back, but damn, they're both great. And if you like spoken word stuff at all, check out Scroobius Pip, he's a white British dude, his shit's on point, both with and without beats.

All about that new A Tribe Called Quest album, "We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service"
It's just...amazing. Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, and Busta Rhymes feature.
I've heard some good things, and I plan to pick it up soon.... even with Kendrick Lamar on there ("meh" doesn't even begin to describe my opinion of him...)
pours one out for Fife Dawg....
What's wrong with Kendrick?
Fife brings the heat on this album. So great to hear them together again.
He bores the shit out of me. He's not bad, I just don't think he's that good either. Give me Deltron, Talib, Mos Def, or anyone....
Hmmm, interesting, especially given the likes of Talib and Mos, who are very much in the same vein as Kendrick. I'd say in terms of rappers TODAY, he's easily #1. Not sure he has the discography to reach that top tier yet, but he's certainly on his way.
Something about his style just un-excites me, and I'm not sure why. But to me, Del is the gold standard by which all rappers shall be measured, and few even get close to his verbal accomplishments.
Del's a wordsmith. Love the pure lyricists.

On a semi-cold day in LA, I'm now warm due to the heat that just came out of my speakers.
My favorite Kendrick:
