Extrovert Stuff

Well the hands thing yes, but the what others around me describe as excessive talking isn't.

People actually do any of those things on that list? Man Extroverts are a strange group of people...
Lost in a parking garage? Apparently I'm hanging out with the wrong people at Spiceworld.
Yes, that is actually what we are like! At least the extreme ones like me. That list is amazingly accurate.
You totally missed the party at SW. You were there? Did I see you and black out?
I missed the party at SW. I have family in Austin and met up with them for dinner... little did I know that was going to turn into an 11PM ice cream run to a frozen custard joint that was closed several years ago... Otherwise I had every intention of making the party.

I loved the one about needing to talk to people in order to recharge but being burned out from a day. Posts like that make me realize how much I hate not having a roommate.
Have you considered getting a roommate?

You practically missed the even then. The "real" Spiceworld happens after the parties. The parties themselves are skippable, they are for the introverts (see the introvert thread going on) to be "in public" but with lots of noise and stuff so that they are effectively sitting alone watching a show. It is good to give them something to do but to the extroverts and/or the business people there with stuff to do the parties aren't just boring but are a major impediment to the purpose of the conference.
So the big networking really happens at the alternate and after parties. That's where the big time conversations, business transactions, introductions and more happen.

@scottalanmiller What you say is true, except that I danced my a$$ off at the 80s party, and then, like the Pied Piper, I led forth a group to the after party, all the while yelling "The party continues at TOUCHE'S!!" and I'm talking YELLING, yelling. Ask the people that were there. I also may or may not have molested a couple of innocent bystanders, who then joined us at Touche's. So, success!

Tried when I first got down here. If I had managed to get one, I think my life would be very different right now, but that's neither here nor there. As it stands, I don't know anyone who either needs a roommate or that I'd want to be my roommate.

Did you bat your eyelashes at them and ask them if they wanted to party? Wait, that could have elicited the wrong kind of response...lol

Well, first contact was surprise grinding as I danced by them on my way to the ladies. Second contact included eyelash batting and a personal invitation to join us at Touche's. This proved to be a very effective method of getting people to join us, so I'm already working out how to deploy on a larger scale next year.

You are the most extroverted introvert I've ever met.

Normal people don't know people who need roommates either. They use services or advertise to find one.

If you're going to do a quote of the day, or a "Most Memorable ML Quotes", you need to start a thread for it.

No thank you.

The backup quote of the day.
Backup being a double entendre in a tech community.

Interesting list to say the least.

Out of context, this could be taken VERY wrong. LOL

It's a good list.
