Looks like Microsoft is finally taking a hint from Linux -

      https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-is-bringing-the-linux-sudo-command-to-windows-server/?fbclid=IwAR1C5ptPtv1dWPXHWeojAZNT5peIBTgQ4DJmlbGv5GAs0pOFiZZJXbT51n4

I wonder if it the application will behave the same. Meaning there will be an equivalent to /etc/sudoers, /etc/sudoers.d/ and such.

Wow that is going to be really interesting. I wonder what run level is going to run on Windows?

When was the last time that Microsoft developed useful software? They tend to just (buy/steal) whatever, plop it into their OS and let it languish without any fixes, patches, etc.

I doubt this will be any different, but it is a potentially useful change.

Ha! That's the thing though, I am curious if sudo will be (at least partially derived) from the sudo we know and love, or will it be Microsoft's own thing that happens to use a command named sudo.
