Shedding light on the situation for everyone else here.
This is why I severely dislike you. A mature person would not have posted that.

You were basically bragging that you knew something the rest of us did not know.

That wasn't the intention. I was just stating a fact.

To clear things up a little more. I do not own NTG. NTG is my day job. I love my day job and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. However I really did just see a huge need. Not just for IT Pro's either. The plan is to have many sites. ML is our flagship but I hope to grow this into a major Social Community and Social Marketing Firm. Marketing is my first love (not IT). This gives me a way to get back to it in a small way for now.

I will say congratulations again then, the world works in weird ways. I'm always happy to see when somebody uses their main career to "niche" their way (back) into their real passion.

Good work @Minion-Queen and thanks for setting this up. Any chance you can get rid of the down voting feature as I hate the negative vibes it creates. Apart from that, great work!

I am have a member or 2 of my team working with the NodeBB developers so there will be changes coming. Slowly but surely.

GroveSocial is working on other communities too. One of the first beyond ML that is being run (and has no traffic yet) is one that GS is running for Dominica and I. We have been wanting to have our own travel site for a long time and to help with platform testing GS is running the Kidding Around Europe Community for us. It is an open forum for discussing travel. Primarily focused on Europe and traveling with kids but all travel is welcome.
Just wanted to share and maybe convince some MLers to check it out and get some conversations going there!

What's Wrong with Down vote? I don't see a problem with it.

I'm in this camp. I can respect that some people think otherwise, but I disagree with them.

And of course I had to bring my favorite Tech team in to help me out. Cause as you all know doing IT work makes me cranky.
All too well...
WORK in general makes me cranky..

I like having it too. Sometimes you really need to downvote a topic or a comment. It can be important. It just means that someone didn't like it or that they thought that it was a bad idea. Without it, upvotes can be very misleading because there is little way to determine volume vs. ratio. With a downvote you get a more balanced system.
