I've been curious how many spelling errors you would find just grabbing random people off of the street and having them write a short post card or note.

Recently I feel data retention is on the decline with Google and auto-complete at our fingertips.

In some ways spelling is getting horrible. But in other ways it is improving as people see correctly spelled words so much more often.

Personally, I can never spell "definite" to save my life, no matter how many ways I try to remember it.

I'm recruiting at the moment and I don't think we've had a single application without at least one spelling mistake, typo or grammatical error. I'm having to review my policy of automatically binning any applications with errors.
