Anyone Struggling With Star Trek: Discovery???

TNG is definitely my #1. I grew up with the original series and I like it, but it isn't at the same level. But I really love the original series movies.
DS9 I only discovered and really enjoyed recently. I watched only enough to hate it when it first came out.
Voyager I really liked my first time through, but I think it was mostly nostalgia for TNG. Watching it again, it lacks something (a lot, really.)
TNG and DS9 were awesome. I know a lot of people seemed to hate DS9 at the time, but I always liked it.
Voyager was a failed TNG v2. I liked it once through. I never rewatched it though. -
I really hate the kingons in Discovery.
And the show tries WAY to hard with special effects.

I rewatch all the Star Treks except TOS and the cartoon about every two years. I need to toss TOS into the mix as well.
Voyager is definitely the most unintersting compared to the rest.

@marcinozga Yes, sorry...PICARD will be in the middle (I edited my list) of the list because of how it did try to respect TNG and DS9 but turned Voyager upside down with the killing Icheb in the way they did. It didn't need to go so dark.

I watched TNG's "The Emissary" last night and I so forgot how much slow, character driven stories are so much better than "all over the map" Discovery stories are.

@garak0410
Season 1 was a fucking mess.
Season 2 was too much drama for no reason.
Season 3 is actually a decent show. But if binged S1 then S2 and tried to jump in S3? OMG just no, I do not think I could take it either.
I will then approach Season 3 of DISCOVERY as a new show then. I just couldn't get past Michael and Book meandering around for the first 30 minutes or so.
I'm actually looking forward to STRANGE NEW WORLDS with Captain Pike.

Voyager pretty much dropped their premise within the first half of the first reason and they were just a "Lost in Space TNG" for the last 6 season...there are many good episodes in there, especially BLINK OF AN EYE...and most "Doctor" episodes...but overall, it was a missed opportunity...

@garak0410 sometimes I love it, sometimes... yeah, it's just a mess. What the heck is going on and any series that depends on the "alternative universe" angle I find just lazy and incompetent.
I did honestly like some of the "Talosians" episode especially the "retro" showing of the original Captain Pike...but up to then I was still confused on the timeline of when Discover took place...I thought the first Talosian episode would take place during "Strange New Worlds"...

Star Trek - The Original Series
Star Trek - Deep Space Nine
Star Trek - The Next Generation
Star Trek - Voyager
Star Trek - Picard (Edit)
Star Trek - Enterprise
Star Trek - DiscoveryTNG is what I grew up with and is my favorite.
My second favorite is between DSN and Voyager.
I think I like the movie version of the original series of Star Trek.
I’m not familiar enough with Picard, Enterprise and Discovery.

A little nostalgia....
Captain Pike in TOS - Jeffrey Hunter - played Jesus Christ in the movie King of Kings, ca. early to mid 60's.
If you think of it, a blue eyed Jesus is a bit odd.
