I think you need to define investing.

Buying something hoping it will give a quick payout is gambling.

Buying something that you hope over time will appreciate in value is investing.

Gambling always pays off for someone. Never for everyone.

I’m very well aware the definition of invest verse gamble.

I have had IBM Stock since I was 15,... since I was 26 it has been rolling back into itself,....

An investment requires study and information,.. and skill...

Gambling-not so much.

The only way to easily get any sort of graphics card right now is to buy a pre-built. I haven't even looked at prices in months because the market is so crazy right now.

Yup, getting the GPU is tough and pre-built is typically the only way to get the value.
