Unifi AP on unrouted Network - Issues
-
So Good news(for me) ; I got the ap working on an unrouted network - Changed IP of the AP and put it on a switch with my laptop on the same ip scheme to verify it works like it will be on site , and it does ( to some extent) which brings me to:
the bad news(for me), It only works for 5 minutes at a time before devices (3 different ones - not connected at the same time) lose connection then it disappears from the list and I have to reboot the AP.. to get it connected again... Not Ideal situation for Install..
Anyone know what to look for with why it keeps disappearing?
Checked the alerts in the controller, but nothing is showing there.
Says that it's connected in the controller.Just looking for a direction and or help with getting this up and running.

You should post your solution/discovery so the next person to google will see that.

I went into "site" settings , In the bottom left corner there was "export site" option.
Click on that, download the backup file,
create network on other Controller, then import site.
You can then (if you have a domain set up) migrate the AP to that Controller.I didn't have this issue; I installed and it's working properly, can view, and edit the AP .
